Sabritas was founded in 1943 by Pedro Marcos Noriega1 as Sweets and Selected Products in Mexico City. They produce and sell potato chips, corn chips and snacks, however, was based on a small distribution network, which was mostly was based on transport and sell bike. The name is a contraction of "Tasty and Chips".In 1966, a year after Frito-Lay and Pepsi-Cola Company joined to form Pepsico, in which, Sabritas was acquired. Since then, the modernization of their processes and expanding its distribution channel began.On 21 March 1968 it opened its first plant in the Industrial colony Vallejo, in the City of Mexico, later, in September 22, 1972, opened its second plant in Guadalajara, Jalisco, on November 15, 1980 the third opens Saltillo, Coahuila, in 1991 opened two new plants in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora and Mexicali, Baja California, the latter initially to export to the United States, which, since then the company expands into other countries since 1996 opens

a plant in Mission, Texas, USA, in 1999 opened a huge plant in Ixtaczoquitlán, Veracruz and finally, in 2003 opened the second plant in Mexicali, Baja California, to meet the demand of the US market.


ALEGRO INTERNATIONAL

In 1982, Sabritas launches a confectionery business which he calls "Sonric's" as a way to expand its product line with candies, and in response to low demand due to the contraction of economic power. It is said that "Sonric's" is an abbreviation that means "are rich sweet". The brand is known for its mascot known as The Maguito Sonric's.The brand was so successful that later expanded to other markets that did not fit well with Sonric's, such as mixtures of dry powder and flavored water, so it was decided to create Alegro International, a new division of Pepsico to adapt to these. Currently Sonric's is one of the key market participants candy in Mexico.

PRESENT

Sabritas is the brand under which PepsiCo brands and products of Frito-Lay in Mexico are owned because in 1966, PepsiCo invested in the company, for example, Cheetos, Fritos, Doritos and Ruffles. Sabritas is also the name of fries in Mexico, the United States, the product is called "Frito-Lay". Also has several local products like Crujitos, Rancheritos and Sabritones. Sabritas controls about 80% of the snacks market in Mexico, while the main competitor of the company, Barcel (Grupo Bimbo) having 12% of it.In 2011, Sabritas launched an advertising campaign to generate smiles on people, called "Sabritas wants to see you smile." Part of it consisted of a media strategy and a BTL activation by agency ifahto integrated communication, which focused on launching signature product from 70 meters, thanks to a balloon. Thus, more than 200,000 bags product smoothly fell down, adjusted by small parachute at the rear thereof.

POGS


The pogs are small plastic toys included in wrappers frying a promotional manner, were created in the late 80's (1989) and in the 90's, a circle with numbers, are played throwing down after making the big tower and hitting tazos, in 2002 the pogs are made of metals known as "Metalix" silver "Silver" plastic Nylon is "Cristal", the largest pogs are "Gigas" and metals that has the design hidden displayed with solar energy is "Solar" these pogs not only come in Sabritas, but Ruffles, Doritos, Cheetos, Frito's and Rancheritos
